URIC XTREME® by ChemAssist® is a professional-grade urinal unblocker and descaler, developed for the specific treatment of protein and calcium (uric scale) build-up in ceramic, plastic and stainless steel urinal traps - and the pipework leading from them. Based on a unique phosphoric-acid formula, it is designed as a one-dose urinal unblocker that dissolves uric scale quickly and safely. How to use URIC XTREME to unblock a urinal
URIC Xtreme is used neat, and is simply poured into the urinal. Start by pouring approximately 1 litre into the urinal bowl/trough, and wait for this to run away. Repeat after approximately 5 minutes (if necessary) - until the urinal flow is back to normal. No need to flush with water. Normally, a total application of between 1 and 5 litres will be sufficient to unblock a urinal. (Amount needed will depend on the severity of the blockage.)
Please Note: If necessary the urinal trap can be removed and submerged in URIC Xtreme for approximately 10 minutes. The calcium/protein (uric scale) deposits will dissolve very quickly. The urinal trap can then be easily reassembled.
Pour URIC XTREME directly into the blocked urinal so it reaches the trap and pipework. Its phosphoric-acid formula dissolves the uric scale causing the blockage, usually within minutes. For a completely blocked trap, remove as much standing water as possible first so the product can reach the deposit, then flush through once the blockage clears. No plunger, rods or plumber required.
The most effective urinal unblockers are phosphoric-acid based, like URIC XTREME. Phosphoric acid dissolves the uric scale (calcium and protein deposits) that cause urinal blockages without the danger of sulphuric or hydrochloric acid, and without damaging ceramics, stainless steel, plastics or pipework. Caustic (alkaline) products are designed for organic drain blockages, not uric scale, so they are far less effective in urinals.
Uric scale is a hard calcium-and-protein deposit, so it needs an acidic descaler to dissolve it. Dose URIC XTREME into the urinal and leave it to work - it breaks the crystals down at source in the trap and pipework. For heavy build-up, a second application clears anything remaining deeper in the pipe. Regular dosing with a maintenance product such as URIC FREEFLO then prevents the scale from reforming.
Yes. For waterless or waterfree cartridge urinals, remove the cartridge first and apply the product directly into the drain or pipework so it bypasses the cartridge. It is safe on the plastics and ceramics used in waterless systems and dissolves only the uric scale and deposits causing the blockage.
No. URIC XTREME is safe on ceramic, stainless steel and plastic, and on copper and plastic pipework. It contains no sulphuric or hydrochloric acid, is non-caustic, and dissolves only the uric scale - so it cannot be overused and will not harm your urinals or drainage.
It typically starts dissolving uric scale within minutes. Leave it in contact with the blockage for the time stated on the label, then flush through. Stubborn or deep blockages where the pipe is full of liquid may take longer or need a second dose.

Sorted out our problem very quckly. My only comment is with a minumum order of 20 Litres being delivered in two boxes containing two 5 litre containers and using only 3 litres to resolve the problem. I felt that I now have to store 3 containers for a long time and there is a lot of cost in there. I felt I was being force stocked unecessarily. However I managed to sell half my order on very easily. great product but i wonder about the business model.
